Description

- The new research building is integrated into the company of the Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability (LBF). The building block shimmers from time to time golden or bronze. With its facade it presents itself to the outside and shows that something special is happening inside. The facade is dominated by a new development of sandwich panels and brass plates. An irregular grid of square openings revives the facade.
  The interior is divided longitudinally into three zones, an experimental hall with side rooms, a development zone and meeting rooms. Two-storey rooms are connecting offices, laboratories and seminar rooms. The showroom and the experimental hall are only separated by glass walls, creating a transparent structure and producing interesting visual relationships between the different fields of work.
