Fire and police station

    • The new fire and police station in Berlin is an extension of a 200 year old empty building.
The station is located next to the Spree, it is constructed in way it is under "street level".
A bridge leads people then to an upper floor of the guard.
The facade of the new building is made of glass. In that way it emphasizes the difference between the old buildings from the 19th century and the new building.
The façade’s colors green and red operate with the environment and thus show the bright colors of the police and fire departments.
