Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art



    • The architect Steven Holl won the international competition in 1999 for the expansion of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Holl's concept was to built five new glass buildings at the eastside of the original museum. They house the Museum of Contemporary African and photographs, temporary exhibitions and a new café. The cultivation cost a total of 95 million dollars and the builings were Opened in June 2007.
