BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group

  • Description
    • The architects of BIG Bjarke Ingels Group have no fear of utopian ideas: An example is the Mountain Dwelling in Copenhagen, reminding of a work of art with its V-shaped balconies rather than of a residential house.

It’s not unusual for architects to publish a monograph displaying their oeuvre. When this monograph is published as a cartoon, however, attraction is guaranteed. “Yes is more: an archicomic on architectural evolution” is the title of the cartoon the BIG Bjarke Ingels Group has published in 2010. Instead of a common illustrated book, the architects display contemporary architecture in an original way. The title ”Yes is more“ stands for a basic idea of BIG Bjarke Ingels Group: Instead of exaggerated shapes they deploy functional and future-oriented solutions.
